INDIA'S BEST B-SCHOOL SURVEY 2011
QUALITY QUEST!
The
Best B-Schools Survey 2011 survey did not discover any major, spectacular change in the line up or performance of the schools which are on a consolidation mode. Discernible push towards quality, is however visible in most campuses as they go in for revamping their curriculum, shedding courses, exposing their faculty to peer institsutions through teaching, participation in conferences and joint submission of papers at National and International Campuses. International Accreditation has recveived a big push with seven accreditations already done and nearly 100 schools on the accreditation path. Policy haze still remains as

there is an ongoing litigation over a notification given by the Government regulator, AICTE and Government itself still unable to get four legislative interventions which may transform the face of management education in the countryIn other developments, IIMs have expanded their offerings by opening more campuses at Raipur, Ranchi, Trichy, and Patna for the moment. The government has also announced a national test in addition to the IIMs test, CAT. The new national Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is being getting into shape at the moment Admissions this year has been abysmally low and the B-school community expects that 20 to 30 per cent of the schools may have close shutters.

The silverlining however is that the placements has been good throughout the B-school community even though hundred per cent placement has now become a distant dream for most schools. Even the big schools are facing the pinch as the corporate have become more discernible.

Online Survey for fourth year in a row!

Business India Ranking and Rating went online four years ago and still remains the only such media ranking done using cyberspace. The online engine and the survey design was developed and handled by Standards for Educational Advancement & Accreditation (SEAA) Trust, New Delhi. The easy to access and flexible user friendly survey format and a clearly defined methodology makes participating in our survey every year, a great learning experience. The survey results are are computed based on a customised, automated intervention process using the Microsoft Access platform. The Stakeholder's survey is part of the online survey format, the results of which impacts on the outcome of the main survey.

STAKE HOLDER SURVEY!

Stakeholder perception is extremely important to get the correct picture about the state of the art of the B-School being surveyed. The perception scores are also used in our Ranking and Rating process. Based on the feed back from the B-school community we have decided to continue this survey through the year with progressive reports of satisfaction being published each of the four categories Students, Faculty, Alumni and Recruiters.
